Shylah was very tolerant for her dog meet here but appeared nervous so she may benefit from getting more interactions as she opens up and/or slow introductions.

Harlem (ACCT-A-247148) came to ACCT Philly after a concerning situation in which he was abandoned at a hotel outside of Philadelphia. When staff were told the dog might be abandoned in a parking lot, they stepped in to ensure his safety and brought him into the shelter.
Since arriving, Harlem has shown himself to be a sensitive but affectionate boy who truly enjoys human attention. While he can be a bit unsure at first—sometimes approaching slowly with lowered posture—he quickly warms up with patience and kindness, often seeking out more pets and closeness once he feels comfortable. Volunteers describe him as sweet and eager for affection, happily following people around and soaking up attention. He has some youthful, puppy-like behaviors such as mild jumpiness and being a bit grabby with treats, but overall he is very responsive and engaged. Harlem walks fairly well on leash with only light pulling and has shown the ability to settle and connect with his handler. He would benefit from continued guidance to build confidence and polish his manners. Based on his behavior in the shelter, Harlem would do best in an adult-only home that can provide him with structure, patience, and lots of love.

Copper was brought to ACCT Philly on April 9th after being found as a stray. He was described as friendly, cuddly, and calm on leash. Copper has settled in nicely at the shelter. He's an oversized puppy at heart — enthusiastic, soft, and happy to be around people. He allows all handling with a relaxed body and takes treats gently. He has some basic commands down and even knows a little "sit." He can get jumpy and doesn't quite know his size yet, but there's nothing mean about it — he's just excited and eager. He had a lovely dog interaction with a resident dog, showing play bows, a loose body, and the ability to take nice pauses. He's a sweet, social guy who would do well with patient adopters or a rescue ready to help him channel that puppy energy.
